- The word Testament means a promise, agreement, or covenant.
Lesson 2: Exploring the Bible
- Complete worksheet “Exploring the Bible” in pairs
- Two major parts of the Bible: Old & New Testament
- Each Testament had different “sections”
- The first sections are called
- Old Testament = Pentateuch = 5 books
Genesis/Exodus/Leviticus/Numbers/Deuteronomy
- New Testament = Gospels = 4 books
Matthew/Mark/Luke/John
Lesson 3: Chapter 2 We Believe
- Highlight Key Words: covenant, Genesis, human dignity, free will, conscience
- We Believe
- God created the universe (in six days and rested on the seventh)
- God is the source of all life {He is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present.
- Human beings are created on God’s image and likeness
